Art is important to me because being able to freely express myself and to create the things that come to my mind is a feeling I can not get elsewhere. I get to be as creative as possible and just let my mind run free while I create pieces of art. Not only is it visually pleasing, but creating art also is very relaxing because you can just take your mind off of things and just work. Without art, society would be dull and we would not be where we are today without it. We are constantly looking at art whether it is buildings, advertisements, household items, etc. We would not have our smartphones without art, we would not have the bright colorful logos and architecture, without art the world would be bland. Although art is relaxing, artist sometimes run into trouble. Artists are constantly looking to create the next big thing, however, they should really be taking a step back to relax and just work. Try not to overthink and let the idea come to you, do not try to force it. Artist Ken Sugimori, the original 'Pokémon' designer, has amazing works of art that really inspire me. He would draw the original 151 'Pokémon' with water color which has inspired me to start working with watercolor and ink. His creativity in designing all of the creatures is amazing, they all have their own personality. I am most interested in abstract and conceptual art, as I want to become a concept artist after school. Ken Sugimori really had an impact on me through his art and I want to create similar art. Riot Games, owners of the biggest computer game in the world, hire artists to create skins for their characters and even design characters for the game. To be able to work for such a prestigious figure in the industry would be a dream come true.
